The jewel case CDs arrived.

I opened the package, held it in my hands, and listened all the way through.

It’s a go!

The print is clean — not dark, not muddy. The gold tones glow the way they were meant to. The disc face looks exactly as envisioned. And the audio translates with clarity and weight from beginning to end.

There is something profoundly different about hearing a project in physical form. No skipping. No tabs open. No algorithm ‘recommending’ you elsewhere.

Just play the album.

This date marks one year since my very first music upload on YouTube.

That wasn’t planned when I started.

But it feels intentional now.

One year from first upload… to a first physical release.

34:56 — A Detail I Didn’t Plan

Total runtime: 34:56

I didn’t calculate that ahead of time. I noticed it only after everything was finalized.

34:56.

If you’re someone who notices patterns, it’s an interesting sequence:

  • 3 + 4 = 7

  • 5 + 6 = 11

  • 7 and 11 — both numbers often associated with introspection, transition, spiritual thresholds, inner awakening.

Also

  • 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 = 18
  • 1+8 = 9

In numerology, 9 is often associated with completion — the closing of a cycle before something new begins.

Even without assigning meaning, the symmetry feels poetic.

This EP is about movement through internal fire.
About transition without certainty.
About stepping forward without full control.

And it landed at 34:56.

I couldn’t have engineered that if I tried.

The Arc of After Ashes

After Ashes follows the arc of someone moving through a long internal struggle — not escaping it, conquering it, moving through it honestly.

It unfolds in this order:

Through the Spiral Gate
The threshold. A decision to stop living inside imposed roles, expectations, or systems that no longer fit.

Still Standing Under It All
Endurance. Carrying weight without collapsing, even when there’s no relief yet.

Bury the Ashes
Active release. Choosing to burn away what controls and renewal.

Let the Current Take It
Letting go of control. Not quitting — but stopping the constant resistance.

At the Edge of the Fire
The peak tension. Standing at the point where staying safe costs more than stepping forward.

When the Dream Looks Back
The inward turn. Facing the fear of becoming what you once hoped for.

Carried by Fate
Acceptance without certainty. Continuing forward without needing full answers.

The Physical Edition

The EP is pressed as a traditional jewel-case CD:

  • Printed insert

It feels substantial. Intentional. Permanent.

In a time when most music floats in invisible space, there is something grounding about holding the finished chapter in your hands.

And yes — people are buying CDs again.

Not out of nostalgia alone.

But because I think people want to ‘own’ music again. Something tangible. I’m the same.

The ‘Human’ Behind the Project

I usually prefer to stay behind the scenes.

However, there’s been a lot of focus lately on how songs are made rather than how they make people feel.

So I want to say this clearly:

This is a solo-human project.

Traditional songwriting — lyrics written by me, and in some cases guitar samples played by me — combined with emerging technologies brings my songs to life.

I’m not apologizing for that.

Tools evolve. Art evolves. Expression remains human.

And if the music resonates with you, that’s what matters most and I appreciate you.
