After Ashes — ‘Sample’ CDs Arrived!
The songs were made, arranged, and shared online — but quietly, in the background, I was working toward something more tangible! I wanted a physical version of this EP as a personal milestone: proof that what I’ve been working on for a year to exist in real life! LOL
This week, the printed CD samples arrived.
Holding the EP in my hands for the first time was a different experience entirely. What lived digitally for so long now exists as something real — pressed, printed, and playable. I recorded the first track playing from the CD for the first time just to capture that moment.
After Ashes is a seven-song release built around a clear progression: entry, endurance, release, surrender, confrontation, reflection, and acceptance. The songs were created to be heard in order, as a single arc rather than individual statements. Each track represents a different phase of moving through sustained pressure — crossing an internal threshold, carrying weight, letting go of what no longer holds, and continuing forward with a sense of peace, even without certainty.
This first physical run isn’t final. There are details I want to refine, and I’m already planning a jewel-case version next. That’s part of the process — learning, adjusting, and continuing forward rather than waiting for something to feel perfect.
For me, this is a special moment in my Into The Ether project. Even if for no other reason than meeting a goal I set for myself, this EP represents a year of steady work, curiosity, and commitment to the process!
More to come ❤
