2025 Year in Review and the Year Ahead 2026
Two hundred ninety-five songs is an easy number to quote, but it does not fully convey what 2025 represented. This year was about consistency, discipline, and allowing creative momentum to compound over time. Each upload was not simply a finished track—it was a step in learning, refining, and trusting the process.
Creating at this pace was not a matter of pressing a button and uploading. This was a year spent learning the craft, understanding the technology, and reconnecting with songwriting instincts I had forgotten were still there. For the first time, I had the tools, combined with my own instrument playing and lyric writing, to translate the music that had always existed in my head into something real.
Some of these songs came together quickly, especially in the earlier releases. Others demanded revision, restraint, and patience. Together, they form a body of work that documents growth rather than perfection. Perfection was never the goal—because it is unattainable. What mattered more was learning when to stop. A piece can always be tweaked endlessly, but at some point, it loses its center.
This year taught me how to wield this technology in service of my own creative instincts. Calling all the shots. Adding a church organ to the end of an electro-rock song simply because, to my ear, it works. That freedom—working creatively alone—has been essential. I may collaborate in the future, but for now, this pace and this level of control feel right, especially having only started a year ago.
Building Into The Ether™
Throughout 2025, Into The Ether™ evolved from an idea—one I remember mentioning almost in passing at a family gathering—into a defined creative universe. What began as individual uploads became a connected catalog, linked by atmosphere, emotion, and recurring voices. The project was never about chasing trends or optimizing for a single moment, but about building something durable and authentic over time.
The audience growth—from 100 subscribers to more than 2,550—did not happen overnight. It happened quietly, through discovery, comments, repeat listeners, and people returning because something resonated. I am genuinely grateful to every listener who hears in this music what I hear.
The Role of Community
One of the most meaningful parts of this year was not the numbers, but the responses. Messages from listeners who found a song at the right moment. Comments that reflected back interpretations I never consciously intended. Encouragement from people who understood the work for what it was trying to be.
Those interactions shaped the project more than any metric.
Creative Discipline Over Burnout
Releasing nearly 300 videos in a single year required structure, restraint, and an acceptance that not every piece needed to be “the one.” Some tracks exist as experiments. Some are fragments of larger ideas. Others stand on their own as fully realized statements.
This approach removed pressure and replaced it with momentum, allowing creativity to stay active rather than stall under over-perfectionism. I experimented with scheduled uploads at different points throughout the year, but ultimately found that structure introduced a kind of pressure I didn’t want—especially when I was making music I genuinely believed in and wanted to give proper time.
Rather than rushing to meet an arbitrary posting schedule, I returned to my original intention: when it’s done, I’ll know—and then I’ll share it. That might mean one song today and another tomorrow, or another five days later. That rhythm worked far better for me, and it’s an approach I plan to continue in 2026.
Looking Ahead to 2026
The year ahead is not about slowing down, but about refining. More intention. More cohesion. Deeper exploration of sound, visuals, and narrative. The foundation laid in 2025 makes it possible to build with clarity rather than urgency.
New music is already in progress. New ideas are forming. And the catalog will continue to grow—not as a sprint, but as a long-form creative journey.
Once the trademark is finalized, I’ll begin releasing select songs to streaming platforms as well. Not with expectations, but with intention—continuing to share the music I believe in, wherever it can be heard. It feels less like a pivot and more like a natural extension of the work already in motion.
